last American Man

Eustace is not exactly the last American man.  He does live in the wild and for the most part lives like a true man would but he still goes into the real world and does use a lot of things that are against what a “true American man” is.  He ends up having to go into the real world to be able to make Turtle Island.  He has to live in hotels, drive cars, and use skills that he does not think are true to a true American man.  Eustace is kind of a hypocrite because he does preach that he is a true American man but he actually doesn’t follow along all the lines because of his dream of Turtle Island and teaching others to be like him.  This pushes him away from really living off of nature.
