Huck and Jim come across a shipwreck and he wants to go aboard to salvage whatever is on there. They find people in there and Huck decides to help them because he is looking for an exciting adventure and knew that if Tom where there he would be all for it. They help the guys even though Jim doesn’t think it is a good idea because it is risky. This shows true character of Huck and that he actually does care about people. It shows even under that tough skin he wants to help people and he has a kind heart. He did learn some things from the widow and he does look up to people.
