Huck had gotten aboard the raft that there were raftsmen. The raftsmen were drinking a lot and singing and very loud. They were telling stories to each other the whole time about life on the raft. They also kept getting into many fights. This was showing us that raftsmen aren’t the kindest men and that they like to have a good time. They like to be crazy and get drunk all the time. The men also believe in superstitions or at least most of them because there was a time when a barrel came by and one of the men told them that it was bad luck to have it around. All the men were scared of it and they spent the day drinking by themselves. This chapter showed us that raftsmen were rowdy and liked to have a lot of fun.
